Windows 10 June 2021 updates: What’s new and improved

The June 2021 update for Windows 10 is now available, and a new patch for models 21H1, 20H2, v2004, and v1909 has been released. Patch for June 2021 includes a number of bug fixes for critical problems, including as a RAM leak issue that resulted in high resource use while using certain programs.

  • After you've finished, click the "Restart" button.

The version number of the Build and Experience Pack will be changed, as it always is, when Windows 10 is updated. You'll receive Build 19043.1052 if you're on model 21H1 (May 2021 Update). If you're running model 20H2, you'll receive the same update, but the build number will change to Build 19042.1052.

Overview of cumulative updates for Windows 10 in June 2021

Unlike previous Patches , the June 2021 Patch Tuesday replaces all previous features with a single new feature called "News and Interests." In April and May, some customers received the taskbar feed feature; however, today's update makes the taskbar feed available to all users and enhances the experience.

According to the changelog, the News and Interests feature is now more reliable, and it will no longer open accidently when you hover the mouse over the weather symbol on the taskbar.


Windows 10 model 21H1 build 19042.1052

Build 19043.1052 (KB5003637) for Windows 10 model 21H1 (May 2021 Update) includes News and Interests, security patches, and upgrades from the non-obligatory patch released in May.
